Finding out the Excel Bitness Explained

Many users not able to find out the correct Excel Bitness while installing UpstoxNet.dll
and ultimately installing incorrect version.

Here is the Simple Method that will tell you what is your excel bit.

Step1:- Find out the Operating System Bit
1. Right Click on My PC or My Computer –> Select Properties
In the system information, You will get your OS bit. (see the below image)

Step2:– Find out the Excel Bit
1. If your Operating System is 32 bit, then 100% your Excel is 32 bit only
Copy UpstoxNet.dll and other files to the below folder
C:\Windows\System32
Run the UpstoxNet_x86.bat file as Administrator
That’s it.

2. If your Operating System is 64 bit, then You may have 32 bit or 64 bit excel.Lets find out what you have.
Open any Excel Sheet.
Go to Task Manager and check Process Tab (see the below image)

If You See Microsoft Office Excel (32 bit) Or EXCEL * 32 in the Process Tab. (Note the number 32)
Then Your Excel is 32 bit
Copy UpstoxNet.dll and other files to the below folder
C:\Windows\SysWOW64
Run the UpstoxNet_x86.bat file as Administrator
That’s it.

Else

Your Excel is 64 bit
Copy UpstoxNet.dll and other files to the below folder
C:\Windows\System32
Run the UpstoxNet_x64.bat file as Administrator
That’s it.
